these are some pictures from Meatyard (on the left) that he has taken. As you can see he used the aperture setting to create the focused effect. An aperture is a hole or an opening through which light travels and can focus more or less on certain objects. In Meatyards pictures he uses a relatively smaller aperture to focus more on the main object. His zen twigs are close-up detailed images of thin tree branches set against an out-of-focus background—is the most obvious manifestation of his interest in Zen. |
